Marta Šostarec - Front-end developer

As I was applying for a web developer position at Emil Frey Digital, one thing that I was initially drawn to were the company’s products that appeared to be one-of-a-kind and seemingly challenging at the same time. On the other hand, becoming familiar with the local slang of Zagorje was an equally challenging mission.

The moment I’ve managed to decipher a few of the basic terms such as ‘bugiji’ and ‘taskiji’ I felt like an integral member of the team. I finally took the job, and the rest is history.

After making the first steps with the company, I had to orchestrate slight changes so I could easily balance between finishing up my college and having a successful career boost. As luck would have it, my team is always encouraging and helpful with both managing my time and providing me with much-needed advice. Also, while taking the agile development course, if I ever got stuck on with my essays or projects, I always had a team of experts ready to support me with good ideas or even some insider tips.

Furthermore, since my beginnings with the company, my skill set only grew upwards. I have mastered most of the modern front-end frameworks. With each new framework learnt, my learning curve grew steadily. After a while, I was pretty much confident in picking up new technologies quickly and effectively. My time at Emil Frey Digital was undoubtedly marked by learning a broad set of new cutting-edge technologies in a laid-back, welcoming environment that encourages creative problem-solving.
